Adult Summer Reading Program

Beginning May 14th, patrons may register for the inagural Adult Summer Reading Program. Individuals may choose to register at the Reference Desk, the Reader Advisory Desk or by calling 413-7074. Registration is free. This year's theme is "Goodies for Grownups." All patrons will receive a special goody bag when registering for the program.

The Adult Summer Reading program runs from June 6th through July 19th with events each Thursday evening (except the kick-off event which takes place on a Wednesday night). The program schedule is as follows:

June 6th at 7 p.m. (10 a.m. for seniors)--Storyteller Bil Lepp
June 14th at 7 p.m.-- Chinese painting with Janet Kozacheck
June 21st at 7 p.m.--"Gardening in the Heat" with Tommy Taylor
June 28th at 7 p.m.-- Performance by Mac Arnold and "Plate Full O' Blues"
July 5th at 5:30 p.m.-- Movie night--"National Treasure"
July 12th at 7 p.m.--Ice cream making demonstration by Debora Parnel of Clemson
Extension (free ice cream will be available for all in attendance)
July 19th at 6 p.m.-Bluegrass Picnic featuring music by "Borrowed Time"
At the July 19th event, food and drink will be provided to registered
participants while supplies last
